The Robert Axle Project QR Hitch Adapter is a high quality, finely machined hitch adapter for towing single-arm trailers on bikes with 5mm quick release rear axles. Our stainless steel, QR Hitch Adapter helps trailer hitches fit more bikes, easily clearing hooded and interfering dropouts. Easy to install, by simply replacing the QR nut. Our adapter uses a 5mm hex to ensure your hitch and pre-cious cargo are more securely attached than other knurled adapters. The 5mm hex also isolates and protects dropouts from marring and over-tightening of the quick release when installing the hitch.

The adapter threads on to axles with a 3/8-26 thread. Common hubs with this axle are; Shimano Nexus, Shimano Alfine, Shimano Coasting. Robert Axle Project’s 3/8-26 adapter for Kid Trailers and Cargo Trailers is designed to allow attachment of any hitch-mounted trailer. These Hitch Adapters fit any trailer that has two wheels and a single point of attachment to the axle. Our hitch adapter is made of stainless steel and is incredibly durable. Our hitch adapter uses a 17 mm wrench to attach your hitch and precious cargo more securely than with other adapters. When installing the hitch, the 17 mm wrench isolates and protects dropouts from marring and over-tightening that could ruin your bike’s frame.
